About Erica, Founder of EverWell

Hello, I'm Erica, a dedicated mom of seven—four humans (three energetic boys and a spirited girl) and three furry companions. Life is wonderfully chaotic, and I wouldn't have it any other way. As someone who loves people and animals (we currently have five rescued ducklings at home— a new level of chaos!), I thrive on making connections with others.

PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY.

My journey in healthcare has been both diverse and deeply rewarding. I started my career as a nurse in an ICU at a Level I trauma center, where I gained invaluable experience handling everything from chronic disease and cancer to trauma and end-of-life care. This experience profoundly shapes the holistic care I bring to my patients.

I also worked with Life Connection of Ohio as a donor and transplant coordinator. In this challenging yet rewarding role, I was involved in every aspect of the organ donation process— first supporting the family and optimizing the gift of life through the complex donor management in the ICU to organ placement and surgical recovery. Witnessing families find healing during such tragic times was an incredibly moving experience. I want to continue my dedication to being a trusted and compassionate healthcare provider.

EDUCATION AND EXPERTISE.

I earned my RN from Indiana University and my APRN (Nurse Practitioner) from the University of Cincinnati. I have additional training in organic chemistry, physiology, anatomy, and biology from Wright State University. My personal health struggles with hormone imbalance and Hashimoto's, along with my 15-year-old son's gut-related health challenges and delayed growth, have given me a personal connection to functional medicine. I am passionate about its power to restore health and significantly improve quality of life.

WHY I CHOOSE THIS FIELD.

I genuinely love people and am driven by a desire to help them become the best versions of themselves. When we feel good, our relationships are happier and stronger. My goal is to make your first visit feel less like a medical appointment and more like a chat with a friend. Together, we'll dive into your history and goals in a friendly, inviting environment. The body has an incredible ability to heal. I am deeply committed to delivering personalized care, with the understanding that everyone is unique and all of our body systems work together, which requires a holistic approach.

I am passionate about learning and can often be found with a book in hand or listening to a lecture during rare moments of downtime. Learning is a daily process for me. While fiction doesn't quite captivate me, I'm fascinated by topics like metabolism reset and hormone balancing. I am committed to and excited about daily learning to stay on top of the latest advances.
